So you've got a pet! I bet you're wondering what to do next, right? On this page I am going to cover some miscellaneous tips of care that I have learned over the years caring for animals. Hope you're as excited as I am!
Dog Care Tips
- When raising a puppy look for their potty cues, it will save from messes!
- If you have hardwood or vinyl floors invest in a swiffer!
- Get a fillable Kong toy and freese it with peanut butter! Keeps your dog occupied for more than ten minutes!

Cat Care Tips
- Wheat Scoop has way less dust than the regular litter varieties.
- You can rewrap scratch towers and cat trees with jute obtained from hobby stores.
- If you notice your cat walking weirdly get them to a vet ASAP. They may have crystals in their bladder, which is a life threatening condition.
- DO NOT LET YOUR CAT PLAY WITH YARN! They could eat it and cause a blockage!
Rabbit and Hamster Care Tips
- When you have your rabbit out of their kennel make sure that they cannot reach any of your cords, they'll chew 'em!
- Give your rabbit/hamster plenty of time to get used to you before you try to pick them up. They may hurt themselves in their panic.
- Make sure you get your rabbit's nails trimmed at least every other month.
- Give your hamster pellets and avoid the seed mixes. They'll pick out the seeds and run the risk of becoming obese.
Freshwater Fish Care Tips
- Set your tank up for at least a week before adding fish.
- Make sure to choose hardy fish for your first tank.
- Get your fish plenty of structures to hide and rest in.
- Make sure you have a tank cleaner/vacuum for water changes.
- Change water at least twice a month.
